What's what is full form of kgf KGF: Kolar Gold Fields kgf stands for Kolar Gold Fields. It is a mining area that is located in the Bangarpet Taluk within the Kolar District of Karnataka , India. One of the largest mining areas for gold in India and was shut down in 2001 because of increased cost of production, the reduction in the gold reserves, and low production. It was a renowned site for gold mining in the past and the second-deepest gold mine in the world. It was also referred to by the name of "Little England" by the then British population owing to it's pleasant weather and captivating landscape . You can still see some British cottages and well-designed streets and structures on this location.
